Featured Quilter—Elaine Miller
Born in southern California, Elaine began making clothes at the age of 11, when her mother presented her with her first Singer sewing machine. Joining the Quilters’ Sew-Ciety in 1999, she started to immerse herself in the education of her craft. Having made well over 100 quilts in the last 14 years she describes herself as an “eclectic”
quilter, not focusing on one particular style, due to her desire to try everything! In the last 6 years she has won several awards, including a Best of Show at the Tehama County Fair, a first place ribbon at the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara and the Giltner-Moore Memorial Award for the Most Meaningful Quilt.
Incentive Quilt: Each time you sell Opportunity Quilt tickets and turn in money to Lyn Hamilton, you will be given a ticket to fill out and submit for a chance to win the Incentive Quilt made by Linda Ballard. The drawing for the Incentive Quilt will take place on April 18 at the Quilt Show after the Opportunity Quilt drawing.
